Mandy Mattox has an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education from Berry College in Rome, GA, where she excelled as a collegiate athlete in the sport of basketball. After receiving her degrees, she worked as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Berry College and then Gardner-Webb University before moving on to Mars Hill College as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. As a student athlete and a professional, Mandy has based her successful career on the principles of hard work, open communication, and a deep understanding of how to work with people to help them achieve their goals.
Mandy and her husband, Charlie, have three boys named-Rob, Logan, and Carson-who attend public school in New Hanover County. An active community volunteer, Mandy has spent a great deal of time in her childrens’ elementary school classrooms and with the middle school PTA. Additionally, she has spent time volunteering at The Good Shepherd Center and with StepUp Wilmington. Currently she serves as a board member at Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry and serves on committees within her neighborhood HOA.
Prior to moving to Wilmington, Mandy and her family have lived in Boone, Asheville, and Shelby, NC. After buying and selling houses with each move, she discovered a love for real estate. These experiences taught her how to make good decisions in both buying and selling, how to work within a defined budget, and the importance of working with a good agent who really gets to know their clients by listening to what is important to them.
